Test ride

I had a test ride of the Dawes Karakum and it was a very nice ride, I loved the butterfly handle bars very different experience.

I am hoping all the paperwork for the cycle to work scheme will be sorted out so I can pick the bike and put it through it's paces.

22 March 2009

I haven't ridden much except going to work, not sure how many miles I have cycled as last Saturday I came off my bike and lost my cycle computer, but if I remember rightly it was over 40000 km bike was OK, bar a slight dent in the cross bar.

Feb 1st 09

January was a good month for cycling as I did 463.05 KM.
I hope to do even more this month.
I am hoping to get a new bike this month or next.
I have been looking around and I have seen a couple of Dawes which seem to be front runners @ the moment, I like the Galaxy ultra, which is a bit to expensive @ over a £1000.
I will be getting it though the bike to work scheme which is only up to a £1000
I like the Horizon, it is a Steel framed touring bike and I am after the 2009 model

22/01/09

Today I went for a ride to Wells in Somerset I cycled a total 23.91 Km. I used the A39 from Glastonbury to Wells going though some small villages along the way.
Traffic was a little busy at times, but no near misses.
I got into Wells, locked the bike up and a had a little wander.
On the return trip I used NCN 3 route, it added 3.81 Km.
I enjoyed to ride and wished I could of ridden longer as I had got into a good stride but had to go to work :(

Miles to Km

I have decided to change my cycle computer from, Miles to Km as I want to start doing Audax this year, and this will be easier to follow the directions of the route because that is in KM.

The title named Hi, the distance was in miles, but the title named 08/01/09 is in km as are any new posts
